“Last night I was pretty depressed and suicidal, and I sort of put a suicide note on X, and it has gone quite viral,” he told WRAL. “Actually, millions of people have seen it. I usually get about 50 views on my post, but this one has gone super viral on me. I spent all night crying, and angry, and upset, and depressed, and all the emotions. And this morning I was tired, but I had things I needed to do. And I didn’t kill myself.

“So I got up and made coffee,” Miller continued, “and I had two sips of coffee, and I went outside to have a cigarette, and while I was having a cigarette, a police officer approached me, knew my name, saw that I had a holstered revolver on my hip, so he drew his weapon and told me to keep my hands away from mine. I told him I was going to refuse that order, and I backed away slowly until I was far enough away from him to turn and run, and then I turned and ran into the woods.”

According to the Cary Police Department, officers made a welfare check around 8:26 a.m. at a man’s home on Glen Echo Lane just off Kildaire Farm Road. Officers said the man was in custody just after 3 p.m.

“We tried to make contact earlier in the morning, [and were] unable to do so as an officer encounter,” said Cary police chief Terry Sult. “When responding again to check on his welfare, at that point, he had a firearm and was ordered not to touch it, and he took off running.”

    He’s innocent free him

Smart play would be to go to the police station while they’re all out hunting for you

Just barricade yourself inside and use their own weapons against them

It says on the article that he threatened to do self harm on twitter last night. Then when he went outside to smoke a cigarette in the morning, a police officer confronted him at his apartment for “welfare check”. He had been carrying a 6-shot revolver outside while smoking a cigarette. The police told him to drop the gun and he ran into the woods. Then he called the local news station WRAL to do an interview with the local news while being chased by police. He was arrested like 3 hours ago.

(cw article has references to self harm)

You know those annoying Libertarian white guys on Youtube who go around harassing cops 24/7 live streaming it? Those dudes were total comrades during George Floyd protests, way moreso than brunch libs, even if it was for their own idiosyncratic reasons. They actually attended the serious protests, documented a ton of police abuse, spread it wide and sued the shit out of the departments (these guys love suing the cops, they get tons of money). They do stuff like flip the cops off to get written up only to sue for protected free speech (they always win, it’s not illegal to flip off cops). They know just how to provoke cops “legally” in ways that they always fall for, and since he’s an annoying white libertarian guy with a stream they never just straight up kill him like they would do to me and many others.

I would vote for one of those guys on a libertarian ticket before I voted for a democrat as long as their primary motivation is fucking with the cops.

Yeah some of those people are pretty cool. Same with the first amendment auditor people. Some of them are complete chuds (maybe most of them) but the shit they’re doing is good. It’s good to shine a light on all the corruption of the society we live in. Thousands of cameras watch you everywhere you go but one silent guy standing on public property with a camera is suddenly an issue that requires everybody to evacuate, a dozen cop cars, and a “trespass” warning, which of course also means the guy needs to hand over his papers or face arrest. Because people are afraid of people with cameras but not corporations with cameras for some reason.

Yeah I know tons of these types. They are super common in northern California and while I dont agree with their chauvinist tendencies e.g. “cascadia” cesessionism and the like they do got the spirit.

WNC is full of them. Like usually one big raid a year and it’s not uncommon for the feds to show up and deal with heavily booby trapped compounds were they sell weapons.

Libertarians who actually get involved in the libertarian party instead of being crypto fascists are some of the most interesting people in US. They’re cool in the ‘oberserve don’t distrub’ sort of way.

They’re all idiosyncratic cranks and about 60% of them are pedophiles for some reason. The stereotype is absolutely true.

Liberalism is funny like that, for a supposedly mainstream ideology the more seriously you take it the more cultish and odd you become. The “best” Liberals treat it like most catholics do, as a cultural ritual and in-group signifier - but what is actually important is loyalty to the patronage networks and economic status quo. The more “idealist” of the Liberals that are true believers, the radlibs and libertarians and radical centrists, start become assassins and terrorists and cultish cranks real quick.

We should make a flee from the authorities a prerequisite for anyone seeking to hold office. Y’know really get a sense of how well they can handle thinking under pressure, how familiar they are with their jurisdiction, how well they interact with their voters, etc. If nothing else, it would really improve our gerontocracy problem.

Yeah, it’d be great, broadcast it in the TV slot instead of all the useless “debates”. They could call it big-cool The Running Man

His last tweet was about talking to the negotiator for too long and getting surrounded. How are you gonna run from the cops and not know basic tech like this
