Something tells me that this has to do with the fact that people have begun taking that whole oversimplified “Your brain doesn’t finish developing until you’re 25” pop science factoid at face value, with some people making the take that 25 should be the age of majority, even, with little to no pushback.

Looks like that, like I said I had seen people getting mad about age gaps like a 25 year old dating a 21 year old and I was like this is a joke??

Yikes I thought that was a joke. Like being in your 30’s and trying to hit on an 18 year old is creepy but being 40 and dating someone who’s 25? Call me old fashioned but that’s nothing.
