I think there was an incident where a Nazi SS officer being held in a US processing facility at the end of the war got clubbed to death because some exiled Polish soldiers who were also there didn’t want him to get off with a slap on the wrist so they busted into his cell with chair legs.

That was French facility, and the killed nazi was none other than Oskar Dirlewanger himself, one of worst monsters in entire SS and one of main butchers of Warsaw. I think Americans would also offed him though, he was too much compromised and useless for anything except comitting atrocities.

The moment WW2 ended, the “allies” pivoted to fighting communism. They gave a lot of the top communism-fighter jobs to the most experienced communism-fighters they could find: literal Nazis.

I see this name every once in a while; it’s not what that one ship in System Shock 2 is named for is it? I think it was, like, the first ship to have FTL drives and it was docked with the orbital space station.
