Do they actually live in tents on the bases? I can’t imagine there being any ground invasion forces.
National Guard will do training rotations on regular military posts. They’ll live in tents or really, REALLY, shitty plywood shelters.
Field training exercises (unlikely they’d have issued any of the ‘fun’ stuff to the grunts).
Now, UN deployments and rotations through areas that are less built up …
