Yeah, we’re living in Slaughterbots.
Vigilance and compassion

Yeah, we’re living in Slaughterbots.

Many nations, even capitalist ones, have state-owned enterprises. A large percentage of trade deals in this century are free trade agreements or tariff reduction negotiations which involve no material goods but these aren’t the only types of trade deals.
The US likes to make deals trading ownership of mineral/oil extraction rights to American corporations for US military support (read: a shakedown). Western countries use debt as a weapon with tools like the IMF and World Bank. “Give us your cash and minerals and neoliberalize your economy or we kill you. You’re now in debt. Be glad we’re not still colonizing you the old way.”
China has been making a lot of deals that break the mold of Western deals. A recent-ish example is paying off Ghana’s loans from Western countries and refinancing at a lower interest rate; duty-free entry (no tariffs) on goods from Ghana exported to China; and building infrastructure like around 442km of roads, plus bridges, schools, hospitals in exchange for around 5% of Ghana’s refined bauxite production.
You get: Roads
We get: Bauxite
Bridges
≤100% ROI on loan
Schools
Hospitals
Lower interest rate

All of these people who want to eradicate mosquitoes constantly focus their entire effort on harmless irritant mosquitoes. If they’re actually concerned about mosquitoes spreading disease in North America, they should be concentrating their efforts on eradicating malaria in Central America to just get ahead of the problem.

This doesn’t seem like a good option for me at this time, the upfront costs look pretty high. :(

I do love a good greeble, this building has huge Cities Skylines energy.

I very specifically am seeking a glp/gip med for anti-inflammatory reasons, since I have fibromyalgia/CFS. It’s amazing how people think it’s just a drug for people who wanna lose 5 kg.

I genuinely can’t think of a more terrifying and anxiety inducing concept than having to go through all of the safety checks myself in order to reconstitute and inject dubious chemicals into my body.

It’s wild how insurance companies and random unaccountable bureaucrats get to practice medicine without a license.

Yeah, it’s the kind where you just attack civilian infrastructure but then claim it’s a brand new war every 60 days.

Damn, that would be a lot better for tirzepatide. I think rn my only hope is getting into a drug trial for another combo GLP-1/GIP drug.

I have ME/CFS and fibromyalgia, so the anti-inflammatory effects are exactly what I need but neither private insurance nor Canadian Medicare will cover the drugs for this diagnosis even though duloxetine didn’t help me at all.
Preventive care is just not prioritized anywhere. You can get coverage for type 2 diabetes but not prediabetes, you have to get sicker before we’ll give you the cure! Coverage for reducing cardiovascular risk once you have a heart attack, but not before you have it.

It’s absolutely not any cheaper. Regular pharmacy wants like $200 for the name brand drug but the cheapest compounding pharmacy wants $480. It was cheaper when GLP meds first became available a few years ago, but this is not helpful advice anymore.

You don’t get it, this time they declared TOTAL WAR. The US wasn’t really even trying last time. “Like, you only made me use 10 percent of my power Scoob.”

Don’t store water in plastic in your car, even food grade translucent HDPE will still allow microorganisms to grow because of the light. Maybe a widemouth glass carboy coated in white food grade silicone?

These kids have never seen war. The closest thing they’ve ever seen to a fascist death squad was in Far Cry 5. They don’t know what it’s like to have a list of family members to call to make sure they’re still alive. They don’t know how it feels when half of them aren’t. They don’t know how bad it can actually be.

Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland

Hazardous basically means “do not go outside under any circumstances.” The actual problem is that people and governments just ignore the safety issues associated with hazardous air quality. It’s not like you’re allowed to call out of work for safety or health reasons, right?

I feel like the harder question for liberals would be if they could only prosecute the content of the Epstein files if the US had to completely dismantle its military and try all officers as war criminals.

They investigated themselves and found that they were not at fault. It was, as always, the crazy lefties!
This is also terrifying to me. I have a very bad needle/blood phobia. Idk if I’m a hormone enjoyer but I definitely require them because my body doesn’t make them. I’ve been hoarding transdermal patches instead.
