they even make pains to say the two bad alien species are uniting “like the molotov ribbentrop pact” but it’s about as good as star trek imo. it only takes one abused child to make their union embargo a species so they’re technically ahead of our world in spite of liberalism still baked in
Even season 1 has some good stuff, but the comedy/parody angle gets dropped almost completely for seasons 2 and 3.

You probably have the right of it, but I have this one handmade teapot that I don’t think I can describe adequately for the replicator, nor sculpt in Holodeck Blender. Alas, the geometry is too sublime.
You could devote years to handmaking teapots and giving away all the not sublime enough ones.
Maybe Dr. Crusher can rinse all the plaque and covid from my brain and Worf or whoever will turn out to be a master potter, and together they can help me grasp the rhythms hidden within the clay. Or maybe an SD card with photos of the pot will get isekaied with me. I guess I’ll have to carry one on me from now on, just in case.

the 80s business guy character goes on a beautiful character arc where he has to learn that profit is meaningless but using his talents to serve his fellow man anyway is worthwhile
the other characters gain access to super alcohol, cybernetics, and gene editing and go wild
Actually that guy canonically becomes the ambassador to Ferenginar in one of the books.
