      • entitled wall street fund managers misses out on their potential oil profits

      • Because they are the only major resistance to the terrorists supported by Saudia Arabia, UK, US, Zionazis, and Pissreal to enact the Greater Piss and Shit plan to take over the region.

      • The superme crime of a nation whose resources goes to the people to enhance their quality of life is unacceptable to wall street. Their worst nightmare is Americans waking up, seeing better things are possible, and asking “if they can do it when they are much lesser than us, then why can’t we do that and better?”

stop discussing wether the troops are good or not. just yield to the positively satirical image of dying soldiers saying, in unison, that ‘we must save the world from iranian nukes’

if kelly made that comic we’d all call him a hack

If a stupid fucking idiot teenager kills someone while robbing a convenience store, they go to prison.

But if a stupid fucking idiot teenager kills someone while robbing an entire country, they get a medal.

Its just about how you feel honestly. I dont think your line of thinking is consistent.

Are people victims of material circumstance or not? Do people get deluded by the environments forced on them by capitalists or not?

It kind of sounds like you expect people to fall into a good vs evil binary and that you couldn’t have possibly be a evil-doer because you are innately something. Which in my opinion, is not how a Marxist would think.

Don’t get me wrong. Fuck the troops, fuck the wars but if we’re talking about building consciousness I don’t think your way works and is even counter productive.

Not even just stupid. There is no person that signs up to become a US stormtrooper who does not, overall, think positively of the US imperial project.

Sure, but i think the gradient of punishment and level of forgiveness extended should correlate with who they are, where they are from, how they came up, why they joined, etc.

Not everyone gets to be born white with nice parents, you guys take that for granted. If you were born this girl you wouldnt be magically more ethical, more morally sound or more intelligent than her.

Don’t assume my race or that of other users unless they have explicitly stated it

While I can sympathise with poverty driving people into taking what they think is a steady job as well as the attractiveness of the GI Bill, it is not the only path even if others maybe require more work
The majority choose those paths rather than becoming a solider of the empire
And to a certain degree with the propgadisation, but above a certain age excpecting people to form a wordview outside of public school education and CIA Jim Hollywood rah-rah americana is an acceptable position espeially in this information age

If you were born this girl you wouldnt be magically more ethical, more morally sound or more intelligent than her.

Perhaps not and without getting into nature vs nurture, I could just as easily have ended up one of the majority of people born into her same circumstances who did not join up be enforcers of empire, and forged a life path that does not contain contributing to mass slaughter of innocents

You still think it’s a moral issue and youre wrong

I know for a fact that there are many many many poor people who try to join but get turned away because they are 1) Too fat 2) Too stupid 3) Too unhealthy 4) Criminal Records. 5) Drugs

“Approximately 77% (or about 3 out of 4) of young Americans aged 17 to 24 do not qualify to join the U.S. military without a special waiver. Pentagon studies show that the vast majority of young people are ineligible due to specific disqualifying standards.”

When they give the select few with courage to join, they dont mean that, they mean those who werent already harvested by the US.

They dont join out of a sense of comradery or anything like that its just the imperial core squeezed everything out of its population and is left with a more narrow parameter.

I wasn’t aware of this quote so I went looking:

Of course, the terrible things I heard from the Nuremberg Trials, about the six million Jews and the people from other races who were killed, were facts that shocked me deeply. But I wasn’t able to see the connection with my own past. I was satisfied that I wasn’t personally to blame and that I hadn’t known about those things. I wasn’t aware of the extent. But one day I went past the memorial plaque which had been put up for Sophie Scholl in Franz Josef Strasse, and I saw that she was born the same year as me, and she was executed the same year I started working for Hitler. And at that moment I actually sensed that it was no excuse to be young, and that it would have been possible to find things out.

I mean yeah everything exists in degrees, but anyone canny enough to make an informed decision about joining would’ve had a formative experience of noticing the absolute failure in Afghanistan, the culmination of 20 years of the GWOT, and then thinking “you know what, we just need to send more people out there”.

I really do not understand the mindset of these ghouls. It is so utterly alien to me how they behave, probably why it’s easier to describe them as ghouls rather than people, since they behave more like a monster wearing human skin as a disguise.

That’s what I’m saying, do you think the guy who can’t solve simple logic puzzles to see if you can fix trucks can untie the truth of the Iraq War or US imperialism? No probably not honestly.

The seven doesnt even necessarily mean stupid sometimes its a complex failure by the US government. Ive met people in the US, younger than me, who were functionally illiterate or actually illiterate. We live in a very stupid place.
