Someone @'d me because I was banned, so I let them know I had already made a post about it.

the mod in question already had made it clear they had no interest in moderating themself based on reports, so I made a comment, and was banned for it.

I default sort by new comments as it bumps small communities to the top.

Both of the threads were literally at the top of my /all and I happened to comment about its misogynistic title in one minutes before the other, the horror.

I was not purged for the slop post, which I didn’t make, but rather for linking to a db0 post in a comment.

Every single one of their posts says ‘removed by mod’ with nothing in the comment moderation history. As far as I know if they were just banned with the posts manually removed you would still be able to reveal the comment moderation history.

looks like a broken ui, I can manually input the page number to navigate it, but what a pain in the ass to use, wasn’t saying it was deliberate.

the way it works on lemmy there’s still some transparency, for example you can still see that the account existed, and has had posts removed by mod so you can figure out the context lemmy has it’s own issues too, like the fact that you can’t see the removed posts; iirc they’re planning to change that.

in fact on piefed, if you wanted to review the modlog to see who has been getting account deleted, it doesn’t let you see beyond page 1

the latest feature I’ve found is that when an admin deletes your account on their end it produces a ‘not found’ page, overall the software seems much better at filtering out dissent- ironic considering a primary complaint they have is ‘authoritarian developers’ influencing the software in some nebulous way

This type of thing only seems to be meant for spammers, it’s effectively the same as being banned with remove all posts, which is an extreme response in my opinion.

I followed up with the admin on the db0 general matrix; they didn’t respond to my dms otherwise.

I have a hard time believing it wasn’t reported by the mod that I was calling out. This makes it hard to interpret it any other way than retaliation for calling them out for misogyny.

apparently posting things in hexbear/slop is grounds for a site purge, but an entire hate comm dedicated to other parts of the federation is fine.

for an ‘anarchist queer friendly’ server they seem extremely authoritarian and comfortable with misogyny

this post got me noticing some weird behavior, from my lemmy.ml account i can’t see any of the posts from quokk.au posters in this thread (can in other places), and from their perspective they can’t see my post (deleted by their moderator), but can see and reply to davel

This also results in the post I made complaining about misogyny from one of their mods getting entirely purged from their end.

The article by the guy posing with the sword from sword art online has such questionable methodology. like a large number of the posts from the spike of activity at the end are just imported posts from Reddit due to the genzedong lifeboat, and the “analysis” was all from the Google API tool saying that bad words are being used.
