Oddly the op doesnt mention anything about Russia or China but the comments do.

Also the contents of the link to “General trolling” are fucking hilarious. Those poor Canadian feelings :(((((

I kind of agree with our admins that we should have not been using PPB in other instances, but its funny that they mentioned it TWICE.

okay, i know the libs often accuse us of not having experienced “the real world” and saying we’ll grow out of socialism, but how can you possibly not hate landlords? like, genuinely do they still live with their parents? have they never had to deal with a landlord themselves? i’ve got two of them fucking me right now because i’m trying to move and holy shit its taking so much restraint not to say some mao-wtf tier shit

Especially in a Canadian instance. Our rental and housing markets are even less affordable than the US lol

This is what I don’t get about Canadian online spaces, like subreddits for cities or provinces in Canada.

A ridiculous percentage of posters in all of these spaces are landlords or landlord supporters. I just don’t get it. Why is it like this?

It’s because 60% of Canadians are landlords, and the remaining 40% wish they were. We’ve had to pounded into us from birth that housing is the surest bet in the world and the only way to escape the matrix.

I had a good landlord (in an apartment, because apparently that makes a difference) who was on top of his shit, got maintenance done in a timely manner, kept the place looking good, accepted checks for the rent, bare minimum stuff. He sold the place to this slimy piece of shit who immediately started renovations on any unit that became vacant because of rent increases. He had the fucking nerve to complain about my dog barking when construction crews were doing demolition and sawing tiles and shit right across the complex from my unit. That’s when I said fuck renting and bought a house.

He was not a good landlord. He was maybe an otherwise cool guy and might have been doing his genuine best to fulfill his obligations (unlike most landlords) but he was still taking money from you for the use of your home. It’s unjustifiable parasitism from the outset

I am living in a co-op housing build 50 years ago, we all are our landlords together. We save what is needed for repairs and a bit for new construction so other people can become our share land lords, too, but that is about it.

the thing is, you could just hire people to do those things. but instead the system allows someone to leech on you and not allow you to build equity for late life so you can retire. and even when you buy a house, the banks are rentseeking in their loans

I thought hating landlords was a universally held belief.

Those landed gentry assbats won’t maintain their properties, let alone provide adequate cooling to survive the next heat dome event. Nor will they provide electric vehicle charging until forced to buy by law.

    Fuck em.

EDIT: lol, “buy law”. Bit of the old Freudian slip n slide there!

the maoist uprising against the landlords was the largest and most comprehensive proletarian revolution in history, and led to almost totally equal redistribution of land among the peasantry

The whole point is to properly redistribute the land.

Honestly, it would be ideal to skip the whole killing part and just properly redistribute the land.

Yeah killing the landlords is step 2, once they start trying to kill us for redistributing the land. Kill landlords in self defense john-cruelty

I certainly hope that the landlords and the bourgeoisie will just say “aw, darn it” and then get real jobs, but that’s probably not what will happen.

history shows theyll burn their own shit down and try to cause famines and a genocide of the general populace when the socialists demand they stop hoarding empty houses and unused land to drive up property values and rental prices

        It’s actually step 4.

Step 1: Enact a land reform that is the largest and most comprehensive proletarian revolution in history, and leads to almost totally equal redistribution of land among the peasantry mao-wave

Step 2: Arrest the landlords after they try to resist this mao-wtf

Step3: Ask the peasants what to do with the landlords mao-clap

Step 4: Fulfill the wishes of the masses and kill the landlords, but only after they’ve been put on display for public shaming, as that’s exactly what the peasants had asked for mao-shining

They think we’re just concerned with literally killing landlords, like that in and of itself is the goal.

Meanwhile I’m personally someone who prefers to avoid violence so I’d gladly welcome any landlord who willingly steps aside when the time comes.

    1. Yet again we see the express lane used for suppressing leftists (“sorry we did this without making a post”) while fascists get a long leash and all the process you could dream of
    2. At least they’re coming around; they evidently care more about shit on a pig’s balls than landlords
