10 year old with a grounded materialist analysis that even 7 figure salaried ceos can’t formulate.
7 figures? what is this, 1985?
I yearn to live in a society where Riley Grunch guillotines me for being too right-wing.

Not what survival of the fittest means, Riley, you lib
Give him a break he’s only 10 and our public schools aren’t doing much for him on that front, he’s swimming upstream and he’s got most of it.
He’s also not wrong, he’s been taught his whole life that “fittest” == “richest”.
There are absolutely environments that promote a parasitic (in the social sense) set of behaviours. Capitalism rewards the most exploitive, making them fittest.
Also, even if the kid meant it as smartest or whatever, this outlook puts them ahead of the vast majority of westerners, and receptive to class-conscious rhetoric.
Man that’s bleak as fuck. Like, this bums me out.
No fucking kidding. makes me think of this quote from a time capsule for the russian revolution’s centenery and want to weep
You will do great things in our galaxy, will make our planet great. We are a little jealous of all you who are celebrating the centenary of our Soviet motherland. But we also know that you will be a little jealous of our restless young generation. We have a clear aim, a great future ahead of us and lots of things to accomplish. We have things that we can invest out hearts, brains, energy and labour in, and this is the source of our happiness.
you are the lucky generation: wars are just history
You’ve never had to chant: ‘Shame on the Israeli aggressors!’, you’ve never had to protest the criminal war in Vietnam, read news about provocations in revolutionary Cuba. How far away these events are from you! […] Young crowd of 2017! We are sure that you have justified the trust your heroic predecessors have invested in you, that you have created a new world.
The thing that is so heartbreaking about reading things wrote by communists of that time is the confident optimism they looked upon the world with. They were absolutely convinced that history was progressing and that they had a bright future to look forward to.
Having grown up in the aftermath of the counter-revolutions of '89 and living with the increasingly dire consequences of climate change most people today has never known hope. Not even reactionaries believe that the future is going to be better than the present.
Read the rest of what the kids say then.
Pet foxes as a trend that starts in England, android service workers, mass outrage from people disenfranchised by the android service workers and automated filmmaking, designer babies, Mt. Rushmore blown down, American balkanization, supersweet transgenic purple apples, pumpkin instruments, lighter-than-air houses with slide exits and trampoline entrances, symbiotic underwater hotels.

Grunchpilled is very good.
Nothing ever changes is a fair bet
none of these children actually exist but go off Hexbears
the NYT is far from a spotless source but I doubt they outright made up these kids. a friend on a small Discord server works as a teacher and assigned even younger kids the task of drawing what they felt like the future is going to look like. would it surprise you to learn a major portion of the results look grim and dystopian?
