I saw a video clip on reddit frontpage of Knicks fans doing vandalism on public property after the NBA Finals Win and it had dozens of comments that said “this is why you shouldn’t have defunded the police”. Police are currently receiving more funding than ever before. Police are the only group of people that Americans will say deserves more pay while not serving their supposed purpose.
