Basically I was tagged as mentioned in a comment, one of several in the thread, and got an inbox notification of it. It was about 20 min after the comment itself was posted, in a community I don’t interact with, with a user I don’t think I’ve ever interacted with before. Not sure if it’s a piefed problem, a cross-talk problem, or just a random bug, but as per screenshot, it wasn’t intended behavior, and I wasn’t meant to be tagged.

Anyone who is still out here trying to defend Soviet statecraft is likely more interestes in relitigating the cold war than actual political theory.

Yep, it’s quite literally impossible for those in the imperial core to avoid the countless onslaught of western Marxism and other common twistings of Marxism. I came to Marxism-Leninism through a long process of liberalism -> Social Democracy -> Anarchism -> Marxism-Leninism. All along that path I saw the usual claims made of MLs and Marxists in general, the kinds that try to “purify” Marxism by removing it from any real practice.
