It’s possible and necessary to do both.
Both please.
Blow ICE out of the airlock.
Both?
When you finally denazify, please do it properly. Otherwise they and their ideology will fester in your institutions like a cancer, waiting to return when the time is right.
They won’t, Dems paved the way and they liked it just fine.
No 2 white people got shot.Good point but what does it mean?
Any move against them, especially penalising them, will evoke a counter reaction. The ideology will linger on and fester.
How do you decide who to “weed out”? Does it come down to removing all Trump supporters? That will create more tensions…
At least weed them out in all public institutions. Not like it was done in post WW2 Germany, where they were pretty much all left in place.
The US doing lately the same after our civil war is a huge part of how we got into this mess.
It’s like we tried nothing twice and got the same result
That county is clueless and hopeless.
Just look at how they still adore the Drone King Obama, mass-murderer and Deporter-in-chief.
The scumbag now hypocritically criticizing ICE, while he expanded it.
They are murdering people in the streets with impunity. You are way beyond the “creating more tensions” stage.
Yeah, but this talk of “weeding out” and “denazification” will only create more violence. You guys need to learn to chill.
Who will you “weed out” anyway? Trump? His inner circle? ICE employees? Those who support ICE? Those who support Trump?
All this tough talk does nothing but escalate the situation. The US really needs to learn how to be a functional democracy again. And no, that does not involve “weeding out” anyone.
Tear down the system that lead to a militarized police force and nation-wide surveillance? Nonono, that’s crazy talk.
That system? The United States of America.
More accurately, capitalism.
Any system that involves people having power over other people is inevitably going to end up like this.

I was talking to my friend the other day about how a massive EMP strike would ultimately do our society some good if we had to interact with our communities and neighbours again for necessities and entertainment again.
One of the best days I had in college was when the hurricane knocked out power so me and the neighbors had a drunk chess tournament (you lose a piece, you take a sip. End of the game, finish the can. Drink of your choice but one of the neighbors had a cooler of coronas they were sharing so that and water’s what post of us drank. I was smoking sassages for the group. Probably won 2 games?) We all just hung out, playing chess, listening to music, eating sassages, drinking corona, and waiting to see if the hurricane was going to give us bad weather again all half expecting to drunken scramble into one of the ground floor apartments if shit started flying. It did not and we all eventually went home and to bed. Most of us never really hung out before then, and some of them I never saw after.
Every time I’ve moved I always make an effort to be friends with the neighbours, with varying rates of success.
That’s true, but I suspect you’re going to miss the many people who are going to die as a result.
Absolutely. And I in all likeliness would also die. It would be a great tragedy. Maybe one that would cause humanity to step up. Start cooperating to fix this.
I, too, would die.
Most of the scenarios I see on the world scale right now involve me dying or living in slow decline to poverty as the world changes. Maybe I’m just being pessimistic but it doesnt feel like it.
I’m not pessimistic, I’m just sick.
So like, the constitution or…
Racism and class war, for example? Absolutely, but those will take a little longer.

Abolish ICE and then prosecute them. Or the other way around, not that important.

Melt ice.

Worth remembering that both of the most recent fatal shootings were carried out by border patrol officers. It doesn’t end with ice.
Kill ICE.
Melt ICE.
First the one, then the other.
Then farm them out as manual labor under the 13th amendment.
Maybe I still have too much of a soul left because I still feel like enslavement is a step too far.
