Oh look the fash are back at making comically large ships that are already obsolete. Aircraft carriers may already be in their twilight years. But sure, good idea. Build something with all of the weaknesses of a carrier with none of the strengths that’s far more expensive in material, labor, and cash.

      chuds really love AI

      It takes effort to think.

In all seriousness - this surrender to AI with a matching desire to stop thinking is disturbing. At least in the olden days - there was some thinking. Now they just type in a prompt and they get GEORGE WASHINGTON MUSCLE TRUMP CRUSH WOKE OWN LIBS and they think they actually created it and it’s amazing.

This already almost happened with USS Zumwalt, there was so many failures it was absolutely comical, the best moments were that basically no next-gen systems they planned to develop were ready and they had to rig old shit to it so even when fully equipped it have like half of combat worth of Arleigh Burke class, or when the planned “cheap” long range guns had ammo so ridiculously expensive that even US Navy said nope to MIC on this one, or when it broke down inside of Panama Channel and it turned out that the project apparently did not cared for things like being able to repair engines and they had to deconstruc quarter of ship to be able to properly repair the engines (iirc it was on its maiden voyage, and it also broke on last test before comissioning).

And it turns out the welding “company” has no employees, no phone number, no website, and no physical address yet they were paid a few billion dollars and all they seemed to have done is contract out the work to incredibly incompetent firms. In the final months of Trump 2.0 - the FBI will complete its report and “find no wrongdoing”.
