That button is simply there to help train the models.
they moved on from being a “job connections sites” to AI ego stroking site. its "job listings " are pretty much a joke even compared to ther other sites.

Regardless of intent, that IS what will happen. Survival of the fittest and whatnot.
That and giving them a fine tuned read on your personal tolerance for slop so they can drip feed you the exact limit you’ll tolerate before leaving.
Just like all social media, linkedin is there to harvest your data so it can sell it. No more, no less. If they can get you to pay for a pro plan at the same time, thats just gravy.
I thought it was there so that I could post “I’m honored to announce…” after every shit I take, and tie some sort of inane life lesson into it.

now I have my business and earn 2million a year
poverty is a mindset, learn from the best for growth
Meanwhile, they can’t stop suggesting I connect with the same people I’ve refused a ton of times from a job I hated years ago so every login I get horrible memories triggered.
