Cowbee and I wanted to read some of the books on Comrade’s Library, and we ended up deciding to make a reading group for anybody else that might be interested. We are looking at This Soviet World by Anna Louise Strong as the first book. Edit: I was just informed that there is an audiobook by dessalines.

I have downloaded the book to my e reader. I would like to pretend I’ll participate please
Lol my kid was having a hard time falling asleep so while she lay down in her top bunk I read to her the intro to the book. Worked like a charm! And it was very cool and now I want to read more.

No, it’s an awesome library with great .epubs! Some of the works are extremely rare in English.

Count me in! I checked and I’d actually already downloaded your EPUB a while back, so I’m looking forward to finally reading it and learning more about the 1930s Soviet Union.

I’d like to participate! I know it’s relatively short, but it’d be neat to start from the beginning if ya’ll are planning to move onto other things later too.
Is there a program indicating which weeks will cover which chapters?
This is an interest-gathering and announcement post. Tentatively, This Soviet World will be the first work we read to launch the reading group, and we will read 1 chapter of it per-week, with the exception of including On Interpreting a World with Chapter 1 due to its incredibly short length (Edie can overwrite this, this is just as I understand it).
Future readings depend on interest and the success of the group.
