It’s called prosthetics, wigs and make up. He’s playing a character who is old and ugly.

E: I’m sorry. I get what you’re saying about movie props. And I don’t want to attack you personally. It is just my disdain for people like Tom Cruise. He is in fact a very good actor. But he a person who works for Scientology while fully knowing what they are or ignoring it.
No worries. I despise him too and one of my favourite cinema factoids of all time is that Christian Bale used Ton Cruise as inspiration for Patrick Bateman. 🤌
And while I consider Tom Cruise to be a creepy psycho, I do also admire his performances in several movies. He’s a total freak, but he has what it takes in showbiz. Still think his performance in Magnolia is one of the best ones he ever did.
But yeah. Is what it is. I wanted to give the make up team their flowers because even I looked at this poster and a couple of shots from Digger and went “wtf happened?”
