Love paying many times more for tiny seasoning containers while my spice data is harvested and sold to Hungryroot.

Hungryroot kinda sucks worth the seasoning too. I’ve done it before and always needed to add a ton of stuff to the recipe to make it have any flavor.

They also think you can cook raw chicken in 6 minutes…

Looking forward to the AvE teardown. His Juicero vid is very fumny IMO, if you can tolerate the western chauvinism and chud-coded language (going off memory, I haven’t watched in years).

Ahh haha i cannot fathom who the fuck would ever want a prefixed amount of spice AND wouldn’t prefer a low tech premix spice pack like what currently exists, eg ‘taco seasoning’. This ‘product’ has to be a proof of concept or patenting effort, or like a pump n’ dump scheme right? No way someone out there actually thinks there’s a market for this

The Juicero was a thing. A fucking Keurig for juice, with proprietary pods.

Never underestimate the stupid bullshit companies will shove out there to part rubes with their money.

I get your point and im just guessing anyway but at least the juicero promised convenience, this seems designed for people already cooking at home.

Thinking on it more, mebbe… could be a monthly sub, including specialized recipes designed for the spice gun and packed with other ingredients like “Blue Apron” or something. Second profit steam selling user data, get bought by Amazon.

        Ok i believe you

As much as I hate the AI factor of this product, a monthly prepackeged spice box with recipes was how I learnt to cook. I can see how this product could technically have a place for learner chefs.

Reminds me of those shitty expensive mugs called ember. This was before the AI craze and I saw one in like 2017.

You use an app to keep your coffee mug warm instead of drinking it in a reasonable time like a normal person, or just using a thermos.

It’s just a dumb novelty item.

Dried turmeric has a dusty aroma to it. Usually you only use small quantities of turmeric as it can be bitter if used in excess.
