You’re saying someone can’t end a character’s story by LITERALLY having them ride off into the sunset? Kind of an odd rule.

And if you think losing a hand and watching your friend get kidnapped is a happy ending akin to “riding off into the sunset” then you just have a fundamental misunderstanding of movies in general.
