I actually kinda like that guy, he’s one of the rare travel vloggers that actually talks to and hangs out with the locals like they’re human and isn’t creepy to the local women but he is unfortunately a lib. Didn’t watch this video maybe it’s slightly more nuanced than the clickbait thumbnail but I doubt it. His previous China videos didn’t boil down to “I am surrounded by evil totalitarianism everywhere I go” for what it’s worth.
Yep, I’m hoping that it’s just clickbait title sitting on top of an otherwise decent video, ai remember him using some clickbaity titles on his previous videos traveling through China, especially Xinjiang, and it ended up being a bit like an uno reverso to dispel the title. Still, for people who don’t watch the video it just adds to the (blessedly less common) China scarebaiting, so it’s not the best tactic
I really like Rare Earth for that reason as well. His Lebanon series was excellent including his side story about being arrested as a suspected Israeli spy.

Yes i watch him from time to time and he is a pretty great travel vlogger for the reasons you said, but he does use clickbait all the time and when he does that for his china trips the comments are filled with anti china sentiment. But i do get it since he wants money
