Actually, Shakespeare invented rap!In Wales we have a (rarely practiced nowadays) tradition called pwnco which was a battle of improvised rhyming verse done at various celebrations (most famously Mari Lloyd). QED, it would be historically accurate to have a rap battle segment between peasants.
