I’m not that hopeful. A coup or an auto coup, definitely one of those is possible. But they have to know that a full scale civil war would shatter the fragile ethnostate. I know fascists don’t make the most rational decisions, but the life of a settler colonist is that of fear of the indigenous underclass killing you. Their worldview is based on racial solidarity, so I think if Pissrael is ever on the brink of internecine armed conflict, the weaker side will submit to the stronger side or some deal will be made to preserve white hegemony.

This is actually a perfect way of showing how the libs don’t get it. “Vote like your life and the lives of every vulnerable person in the country depends on it” is exactly how they framed the last 3 elections.

So why do they only stop at voting? That was the entire point Tom Morello made in that interview, and he made it incredibly clear and coherent. If it’s so consequential that Trump doesn’t become president, then why isn’t there more resistance? Why do people accept the president that clearly tried to steal one election in 2020?

Instead they focus on the only acceptable form of political participation as the end all be all. If all you have to do is vote blue, then you don’t have to feel bad about failing those vulnerable people because you did all you could.

I tried for about four minutes to edit this into a horseshoe theory but I’m giving up.

There was a brief moment where woke meant “PoC be aware of the systems of power that are built to oppress you” and now it means “person who doesn’t like slurs”.

It took me a moment to remember, but I read it as how capitalism pits the underclass against each other. The main family’s success directly hurt the wall people, and the wall people threatened to expose the main family. For me it’s confirmed by the dad becoming the next wall people, showing how anyone in the working class is just one bad away from destitution and homelessness.

I don’t know why the film is called Parasite since I thought parasites need a healthy host to live and all they do is benefit from the host, the poor family in this movie does that sure but they also work really hard to achieve it that it feels wrong to say they’re parasites.
