which people?
The people who used to live there, as in, the Clintons. Even within the framework of liberal bourgeoisdemocratism, calling the seat of the commander of the executive “the people’s house” makes no sense, as that would be the Capitol. So it only makes sense to read this as the statement of somebody who views the White House as her family property.
The other third, a monument to a slave state that is still standing to this day.
I’m personally pro turning the White House into a giant bar and entertainment center, with like a go kart track and laser tag and a in house brew pub that served overpriced IPAs and nachos.
I’d prefer it being turned into a crater but this sounds fine too I guess.
