2·1 day agoLol. Yea, I wouldn’t expect much from either of those places.
If this were a war seems rather relevant lately.

46·1 day agoSo, the military envisions unconventional warfare in which small groups of irregular military or armed civilians would resort to ambushes, sabotage, drone warfare or hit- and-run tactics. The aim of such tactics would be to impose mass casualties on U.S. occupying forces, the official said.
Same tbh.

5·1 day agoSomebody post Saint Patrick’s Battalion on here for Saint Patrick’s Day a couple years ago and I’ve been digging him ever since. Yeah, hopefully pops up over on peertube, it’d be a good get for whatever instance he joins.

He posted recently on insta that YouTube slapped him with a strike for So Many Ways to Kill a CEO, so imagine it’s been a long time coming.
I’m quite partial to his Saint Patrick’s Battalion performance, which they took down.

8·2 days agoHeard. I was waiting for subs for so long I kinda forgot about it. Also, at 2 and a half hours it’s one of those flicks I gotta make time for. Not so for Bikini Hackers, which is waiting for me on my jellyfin and clocks in at only an hour, of what I am sure is a high quality kino.

15·2 days agoGrown up, sure. As a child he looks like a little shit.

I should watch the second one tonight. Still haven’t seen it yet. Admittedly, the first one’s English dubs were kinda eh, and I couldn’t stand it till I found some subs.

4·2 days agoMy Brothers and Sisters in the North. South Korean woman uses her Germany passport to visit North Korea. Visits various places around the DPRK and is really an informative look at the different lifestyles of the country. From 2016, so it’s a bit dated now, but still well worth the watch.
Aim High in Creation. An Australian director makes a movie within a movie fighting against coal seam gas in her hometown by visiting the DPRK and consulting with DPRK actors and directors on how to create a revolutionary propaganda film.
I very, very much recommend this one; the Director is kind of a lib and downright disrespectful to the DPRK folks at times but she gets access to people outside the authorized touristy areas that you’ll recognize from Brothers and Sisters in the North and other DPRK related vids like The Haircut. It really humanizes the North Korean people and they basically shoot the shit with her.
Somebody uploaded the whole thing on tankie.tube!
Ooh, they’ve got a bunch of other good vids too.

Lucio (2007) - before Andor, there was Lucio. Bank Robber, Forger, Anarchist, Brick Layer. Lucio Urtibia was a significant source of funding for Leftist movements across the globe through the 60’s and 70’s thanks to a forgery operation he ran. Even when he finally got caught, Citibank was forced to negotiate with him. You wanna know how we’re gonna fund a revolution? Watch this.
