Whilst I appreciate your suggestion, I’m actually a women who loves the many pleasures of skirts and dresses (including but not limited to: easy access for sex; hiding objects in secret petticoat pockets; placing my skirt over the AC unit during a heat wave).
I wonder if I should have mentioned in my comment that I’m a woman, because if I read it as if it’s from a man’s perspective, then it does give a “damn, I wish it were socially acceptable for me, a man, to wear a dress”.
But no, the angle of my comment was that I would go absolutely fucking feral for men in sundresses. (aside from being queer enough that I don’t care about gender norms much, and actively find it attractive to see people dressing in subversive ways, I am also recalling a random gif I saw way back that involved two muscular dudes wearing sundresses for a joke and deciding “actually, we look and feel hot as hell in these”. I’m not a mafia boss, I wear shorts all summer (March/April through October or so) Office, doctor’s appointment, whatever. It’s shorts for me.
I used to joke that one day I’m going to walk into the Mercedes dealership wearing shorts and ask them to test drive a brand new S-Class, but my priorities have changed somewhat in the meantime so I don’t think I’ll be doing that. Not such a huge fan of their newest interiors anyway.

A nice doublet with some ruffs underneath combined with a sturdy pair of breeches, a modest codpiece and a fashionable cape. As for footwear I’d recommend riding boots.

Maybe a nice frockcoat with a neckcloth, a frilly jabot and some breeches with folded stocks. For a more modern look you can combine the frockcoat with some cargo shorts. As for shoes I’d recommend some brightly colored brockcades with a nice buckle.

Eh, to each their own I guess. I don’t like how snug the bodice looks, nor am I a fan of constantly managing my leg positioning and monitoring the breeze lest I expose myself - and that is without even mentioning sun protection. But you do you.

Guys are absolutely missing out because skirts and dresses are awesome. Sometimes on hot days, I’ll move my skirt more because it’s hot and my partner says I’m “cooling down the vag”. He’s absolutely correct, it feels great on hot days and I bet guys would love it if y’all would try it out. Get yourself a kilt and go for it man.

Eh, I’m at a stage where the gender binary makes zero sense when it comes to appearance and socialisation. Why do women wear dresses and men don’t? Because dead people decided that men should dress one way, and women another, and we still cut about like any of that shit matters. I like to wear dresses not because I might be trans, but because I like dressing pretty. I’m a man who likes to wear swishy skirts around the house, and it doesn’t bother my wife.

Sundresses are wicked lovely to wear. I can heartily recommend it to any guys who are worried about doing so.
There is however a law against pitching a tent on someone else’s land, and the act of doing so does become more noticeable, maybe even more frequent, when men are walking around wearing dresses.

Much like cameltoe, there are multiple methods of avoiding a visible boner. Gaffs or dance belts are probably the easiest, but some people prefer to tuck.
Speaking of cameltoes, I’ll never understand how they happen with jeans.
I mean, I get that it’s because the pants aren’t a good fit, but wearing them for any amount of time must be literal torture, I’ve had thigh chafing from fabric and it’s hell, imagining that further up gives me nightmares.
It’s a combo of the pants being a poor fit, the pants being badly designed, and the pants being cheaply made.
Fashion industry standard drafts a single pattern for each style of pants in size 2/4/6, depending on brand, then just size it up or down without redrafting it to account for body fat distribution being uneven. So even if it’s the “correct” size, it may not actually fit your measurements. Cheap fabric tends to have less structure, and it won’t hold your body fat in as well as a fabric with a tighter weave.
You can get underwear with some padding that doesn’t squeeze around the seams if you want to avoid it.
I personally find thigh chafing to be more uncomfortable, and cameltoe is more like a front wedgie. It’s more unsightly than uncomfortable.
Cargo shorts are sexier though.
