just my personal thought(some spoilers):
spoiler
Included one the imo better parts of Fo4(Uranium Fever song)
Been said before but the way the portray the naivety of people who grew up in insular societies like the Vaults/BoS nails it
Thaddeus being less naïve and more pragmatic than Max but still not being a complete evil asshole is great, that and the actors comedic timing is making him grow on me
Having Lucy ‘lobotomize’ the ncr/legion guys to stop them killing each other will probably lead to some good development of her character becoming darker and possibly change her outlook on her Dad’s work/goals
I hope we get at least a little more detail on how the mind-control implants work, as they seem to leave people with a personality(and not just robotically coldly following whatever orders) and emotions, but stripping there memories( maybe? that one woman seemed to have a recollection of being a murderer assuming Hank didn’t just tell her) but they all have the same cheerful helpful personality it seems, but are still individuals and not all imrinted with one template personality even if there demeanour is similar? and how do they now to follow Hank, he didn’t seem t be carrying the mind-control-control gadget with him, perhaps they just ‘imprint’ on the first person they see after activation? so hopefully at least some is explained and not just all handwaved
Probably just coincidence as I assumed this was filmed before the other game out or vice-versa(but maybe had some personnel in common), but the hank’s drones working in unisons was very reminiscent of some scenes from Pluribus, especially cheek swab Petri dish scene from episode 1
Cool to see a super mutant, but imo from the one glance we got of the face of the one in that ep, it didn’t look that good/cool aesthetically? to me at least, just looked like a big dude in makeup(which seemed a completely different shade of green to that in thegames although that could be the lighting), I was hoping they’d make them look more jacked-up like the talking heads in fo1/2 like:

Thought i’d make this thread for anyone who has their own thoughts they’d like to discuss
I loved it.
My only criticism (for the season as a whole) is that there’s a LOT of concurrent plots going on, and the episodes aren’t really long enough to do them all justice IMO. It makes the edits a little jarring at times and every scene leaves me wanting more. And they didn’t even touch Norm’s or the Legion’s plot line this episode, and it still felt squished.
Really fuckin cool that they cast Ron Perlman (the Fallout “voice” narrator “war never changes” guy in all the games) as the super mutant.
This is definitely one of my favourite tv shows ever and I’m literally losing sleep throughout the week both staying up late to watch it Tuesday nights, and then throughout the week wondering where it’s going to go next lol. 10/10
I am SO FUCKIN EXCITED for the deathclaw battle that they keep showing in the episode trailers. When they first revealed that my eyes lit up and I felt like a kid again

I just hope the last episode is like two hours long lol.
Probably my least favorite episode of the season and it was still great. Favorite part was when Barb asks her assistant to dig more into how the cold fusion is secured then she goes into the elevator and Michael Emerson’s character says
“You’re just a very replaceable part in this machine. But if you forget your place in the company you’ll die and so will your family.”
This feels like the ever present threat from ruling class.
“…We’re all in the same boat and not one of us can stop it.”
This is what they have convinced everyone of. But really most of the time in the imperial core, especially, its “I’m too comfortable/unorganized in my class to stop it.”
Then Barb goes on to tell the “leaders of the most powerful corporations” The only way to guarantee results is by “dropping the bomb ourselves.”
This is when you become a class traitor and in this situation a traitor to humanity. This is obviously put to an extreme level about dropping atomic bombs and yet smaller decisions like this happen everyday with this exact sort of logic and timeline.
That’s a specific meta onto our society, but there’s more there within the plot and motif of the overall show that could be expanded upon.
Probably just coincidence as I assumed this was filmed before the other game out or vice-versa(but maybe had some personnel in common), but the hank’s drones working in unisons was very reminiscent of some scenes from Pluribus, especially cheek swab Petri dish scene from episode 1
Its funny that you say that because that was the first thing that popped up in my head too.
Yeah thinking about it Zack Cherry is in both shows(Dylan G in severance Woody in Fallout) and I wouldn’t be surprised it they share some behind the camera personnel as well, so maybe the synchronicity was a deliberate reference by one to the other
Yeah I’ve been thinking this show combines a lot from some of the top recent sci-fi shows. Immediately thought of Silo.
I like it . But so far I enjoyed season 1 more . Maybe make a thread after it stops airing and I will leave my thoughts.
EDIT. Here is my 1 cricitism. I like season 2 but it feels like its a tad to many plots at the same time. Im worried that some of the sideplots will lead to nothing special.
That’s a fair point with only 2 more episodes this season there’s clearly not enough time to satisfactorily resolve: Lucy vs Hank,
Cooper’s pre war plot,
Whatever’s happened to house,
Reintroduce the enclave post-war physically who’ve been missing all season,
Vault 33 interbreeding support group’s conflict with overseer Betty,
Vault 32 Steph being secretly Canadian and conflict with Chet,
Norm and Bud’s buds
Max and Thad having met up with Coop(but I’m guessing that’ll will turn into a ‘rescue Lucy’ quest and comingle with her current situation)
etcI think they’re aiming for at least another season so I assume a few plot-threads will be cliff hangered to be resolved in S3, so idk if some threads will lead to nothing but we’ll be waiting years for conclusion’s to them
And obviously writing it that way with that assumption brings whole other avenues of criticism
Oh we know there is gonna be a 3rd Season …which I do think is gonna be enough time to tie most of these plots together. Its just gonna feel probably very open ended after season 2 due to that.
