I mean… The company that owns it was literally founded by Axel Springer, a Nazi who worked for the Ministry of Propaganda.
Germany’s #1 peddler of right wing media
And America’s. Springer media is fucking everywhere.
One more signature shown by the most consequential presidents: Uncommon psychological toughness. Have you ever known someone who was facing legal hurdles? In many cases, even if people ultimately win the case, they end up being consumed and shrunken by the searing nature of the experience. Imagine running for president amid huge civil suits, criminal prosecutions, and even felony convictions — then emerging from this morass as a larger figure than before. No one needs to admire the achievement to recognize that Trump is possessed by some rare traits of denial, combativeness and resilience.
That’s because rich people got rich people privilege in court. It was so fucking obvious that the liberal institutions weren’t willing to do actual damage to Trump, they just thought there was some level of uncouthness they could present Trump as that would turn his base against him.
Anywho, the larger problem with this argument is that the “great” (by the author’s definition) presidents leave behind a political playbook that shapes a generation or two. Teddy with progressivism, FDR with new deal/keynesian economics, Reagan with neoconservative economics mixed with culture war issues. Trump is too singular unto himself, he has a playbook that only works for his combination of personality and background. At most, his presidencies offer a way for future conservatives to posit protectionism/anti-free trade in a right wing mode, but I suspect the donor class will reverse that anyway (at least for countries that aren’t China).

I’d imagine the denial is doing a huge amount of the heavy lifting there.
According to the chart they have a “Lean Left” bias, sweaty
I hate it here
Wait a minute. At 5 am the day after he was inaugurated for the second time he became presidential?

That’s some serious outrage bait to get the libs all riled up.
They had it written and waiting to publish haha
I mean… teeechnicallly… if you voted for him because he promised to make life worse for the bottom 98%, and deport anyone critical of him… and kill a whole lot of people for funsies, I suppose then he’s doing a pretty good job and sticking to his promises.
Does Politico judge on any other criteria?
