So normal Chinese foreign policy: giving people guns is a move to make friends, not to help win wars

The means of production have been expanded in the developed world. Now is the time to re-appropriate it away from war and put it towards raising the standard of living in the post-colonial world and eco-scaping the developed world.

Oh cool, didnt recognize him! I could never get into fugazi but I like some minor threat

Oh its Ian McCay gotcha - never seen his face before

Ive thought that since no-one wears suits anymore, Ska bands should wear other work uniforms - like those vests retail workers wear or a polo and a lanyard
But now that ive got my wish I would like to un-wish it
Pick it up pick it up pack it up pack it up

Who is this? (I’m a posuer)

Nothing is more punk than a really drunk hard-core front man incoherently trying to rant about the importance of loving each other

I think its primarily for defense purposes. They have massive amounts of spy-data (ring, flock, prsm, etc.) That has to be tagged to be searchable and they simply can’t do it all manually.
But if you create a way to search by certain sounds or images, suddenly the NSA’s surveillance cataloge becomes searchable.

It’s always needed to be global. We’re here now because 1936 and 1968 were partial victories

When an anarchist is writing an essay on the need for structure, you’d better listen to her!

Where I am, MLs are trans women, and anarchists are cis lesbians and enbies, I have yet to meet a cis-het activist. The gay men are syndicalists.

Homelessness isnt just not having a home, its being chased around by police for simply trying to sleep. This, as bleak as it is, is a huge improvement over the conditions most homeless people are in

But there’s right wing and right wing. Like, there’s right wingers who are in unions and support universal Healthcare and these people should be organized with on those particular goals. Through organizing with them and being open about our positions we can move a lot of them on gender, race, and immigration issues. Not all of them, but a good number, and importantly, we can move the activists and community leaders.

I worked for state parks, and let me tell you, having my boss ask me for my time sheets while wearing bullet proof armor is surreal.

Imo they tend to be even more distorted than liberal ones. Like, you can be reading a trot article and they’ll tell you why a thing is bad based on a line struggle from the 70s, but they won’t tell you what actually happened. I’ll take liberals who lie through emphasis but at least usually tell you what actually happened and have a bias that maps into modern political lines I’m more familiar with.

Yeah, I’m ashamed to say I knew about him and thought he was cool in 2007

Im not sure about the author’s assertion that Americans dont want small cars. I think they dont want small cars at the 25,000 price point theyre at.
I know lots of people who would buy EVs and keis, but all those people are under 35 and dont have 25,000 to spend. So instead they buy used honda fits or used priuses. If they could get these cars down to the 6,000 dollar price point millennial and zoomers are buying cars at then they absolutely could sell them here. But that would mean manufacturing them overseas where labor is paid in an export currency which the US seems unwilling to do and the UAW seems to really like.

The first time I saw it I was confused by the militants flying green flags bearing the Shahada because the only association I had with that was Al Qaieda – now that I’m more woke to anti-colonial struggle in the Levant that scene feels a lot more coherent to me.
But, even at the time, I kinda read it as being about people of all races and ideologies coming together to overthrow a common oppressor, so at least I had the spirit

The prospect that Trump is gay is actually really exciting to me beyond the snark - like, he may have known a truly equal relationship, yknow? I want that kind of peace for him. Ruling corrodes the soul
One of the world’s most successful social democracies. Weird foreign policy where they often back both sides of conflicts or just the imperialist. Takes the middle road on the issue of cars vs. trains and does both well. Weird techno dystopia where everything is hooked up to the internet of things.
