Is there a brand that resonates better?
Gibsons are just expensive because they’ve always been, don’t bother. The squires are so good they rival the fenders so you can just get one of them if you don’t care about the brand on the headboard. The sterlings are cheap and heavy, poor imitations of the Musicmans they’re based on. But again, who has the money to afford one aside from professional washboard players?
Then of course there are your Japanese imitations, which are great if you know what you’re looking at. Or you could go a Yamaha digital washboard that you can also make sound like a jug, slide whistle, and even a fiddle. The DSP chips in them have gotten so good you can’t tell the difference most of the time.
Lmao
What is the model of Yamaha digital washboard? a google search isn’t bringing it up
So that range starts with the WBSM600FX-MII series which has a couple of models in each range going up through the WBSM700FX-MII, WBSM800FX-MII, and WBSM900FX-MII ranges. Topping out with the WBSM990FX-MII PRO which can pretty much be an ensemble band on it’s own. Remember that it includes SM in the middle of the product code and it’s the second iteration of the line (hence the MII), if you just put in WB600FX you may get a modelling flute or a range of enterprise audio arrays depending on your region.
Thank you!
I worked for the world’s largest instrument manufacturer so I know how their naming conventions work
I finally found one on Ebay but it seriously seemed like it didn’t even exist in the first place.
