Watched The Bad Guys 2 by Dreamworks. The animation style with the mix of 2D and coloring isn’t that far off from Forgotten Island and it had that “ADHD” vibe. Been liking the recent Dreamworks stuff lately like The Wild Robot and I might watch their next movies on the big screen soon (Forgotten Island is the first DreamWorks movie I watched in the cinema after having only watched the old ones via Cable TV, streaming, and the high seas). Will watch the Bad Guys 1 next week. (I watched Bad Guys 2 first because I am not sure until when it will stay on HBO Max in my country).

Watching Alien Romulus, I had heard it had practical effects. What I hadn’t heard is that there’s a gawdawful deepfake of Ian Holm. Skip this one.

Aliens (1986) - I had never watched this movie before, worth the hype… I need to rewatch the first one next. Slumber Party Massacre (2021) - this is a masterpiece, I love a meta horror comedy.

Rat Race - not remotely as funny as I remember it.

Catch Me If You Can - still holds up.

I decided to re-watch “Thank you for smoking”. I always saw that as a kind of “Lord of war” with cigarettes instead of guns, showing the dangers behind advertisements and lobbying, but this time I noticed a detail that made me wonder if the intended message was different…

Wanted to find something new on Netflix, ended up rewatching The Intouchables for the infinityth time. It still holds up so well and Ludovico Einaudi is a true genius.
