I only use Reddit for a few niche communities and surprisingly it’s enjoyable (maybe because it’s not full of Westerners, though there’s always that one rage baiter posting screenshots)
The communities that scared away all the non-westerners were the best
That’s the issue, the non-western media I consume attracts Westerners, and then neo nazis and other reactionaries show up to gatekeep it. It ruins something I used to enjoy
If they didn’t bring fascist tendencies with them, I wouldn’t really have a problem

The bigotry is usually paired with some smug affectation that, ackshually, you, the one taking offense to their bigotry, are the bigot.

It is fascinating how solid and well developed their specifc understanding of the world is. Like, on any random sub people will reflexively say the same handful of cliche jokes regardless of context. It is fascinating how well the psyops work
