TL;DR: At least three Cybertrucks have caught fire after crashes involving fire hydrants or other strikes beneath the truck. Tesla now sells owners a battery shield for $3,500. Call it shrinkflation, because when the same basic thing happened in 2013, Tesla offered owners additional battery armor for free while under investigation by the NHTSA. Tesla […]

I pity the poor Tesla owners who bought their car when Elon still pretended to be a progressive. But anybody who bought one post Sieg Heil, and particular a Cybertruck, can fuck right off.

    Sieg Heil

I noticed they recently changed the headlight style on their newer vehicles. Does anyone know exactly when this happened? Was it after Musk’s heel turn? It would be useful to know so I can correctly profile these chuds.

IIRC there was a lawsuit somewhere from leasers who wanted out of their lease contract because Elon soured the brand so much that they did not want to be seen driving a Tesla.

      Edit: found it! https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20250611-french-tesla-customers-sue-over-brand-becoming-extreme-right

Yeah, 2017 with a 3 year lease and option to buy. Sold it in 2020 when I saw it was going a bit… right. 2020 was an insane year for used cars too, 40k buyout or 50k sale. Uhh, sale please!

Why did you buy a car designed by a software engineer? All cars are killing machines, it was never ok, and willfully ignorant, to get the one with the worst safety records

I can pay nothing to not explode by simply not buying a Tesla. And also staying away from Teslas on the road when I am driving in my car.
