The finale of S3 left me floored and I can’t wait to see what happens in the end. It was jarring at first, but I’m really glad how they handled intermixing the prologue back and forth into the present. Left me guessing almost the entire season what their intentions were.

I really want to read the book but also don’t want any spoilers so I’ll just wait patiently until it’s done.

Hopefully this season can keep momentum. I really think this story could have been told in 2-3 seasons. My wife completely forgot Rashida Jones was in this. There’s a lot of plot lines added to slow down the overall story.

Rashida Jones was in one Episode only, while important to start the series, she just wasn’t that present over all.

They definitely pulled a Psycho Janet Leigh move. My wife also forgot that there was a Sherif before Nichols.

There is a lot of mid season… I don’t want to say filler but just stretching. I definitely think you could cut it down to three seasons total. If you’re binging the show it’s fine, but week to week some weeks just suck.

Holy shit they didn’t wait an entire year to start writing it? They’re already filming? Amazing.

Wow, not waiting two or three years for a new season? That’s crazy talk. You’re supposed to be able to give birth to a child and send it off to college before a series has ended!!

They filmed back to back to get it done. It’s honestly what more shows should try to do to avoid getting cancelled. It as also likely a stipulation Rebecca Fergusson had. She was hesitant to join and devote 4 yrs of her life to the show.

I don’t think this is how it works. Unless a show is renewed for another season nobody is risking to start filming the next season, you only film what you’re paid for. And it seems like these days most shows are in limbo for a year before a decision is made to renew for one more season.

More and more shows are shooting back to back seasons ahead of even knowing how well they do. Witcher recently filmed back to back without even knowing if the new Hemsworth would be well received. I think it’s more of s gambit to make sure people come back. Percy Jackson also filmed back to back I believe. The longer breaks in seasons cause viewership to drop and does to instill confidence in the IP.

Another short lived trick was having a second smaller show to fill in the gaps between releases. Gen V for The Boys and Dexter Original Sin were meant to keep momentum going. Even though those two shows had decent ratings they were both cancelled and resources moved elsewhere. Outside of Game of Thrones with House of the Dragon and The Knight of the Seven kingdoms, I can’t think of another IP doing this.

Filming on S4 concluded in March. The warehouse in Hertfordshire they used as a studio was supposed to be converted back into warehouse by now but it’s controversially staying open.

This show reminds me of Westworld. Absolutely amazing first season, then peters out, then goes off the rails in entirely the wrong direction.

I realize a lot of people are digging it, but to me this trailer just reinforces that I did the right thing for me when I stopped watching it this year.

    Spoiler

The annoying characters from the flashbacks were cryogenically frozen so they could come back to annoy everyone in season four? 😂

I share your opinion on Westworld, but I don’t see this happening in Silo. Silo is based on a series of books, the first two seasons relatively closely follow the story laid out in Wool. Of course there are some differences, but that is to be expected of any adaptation. I can’t say much about the stuff in the third season from your spoiler, not sure that is in any of the books, but I don’t see the problem with those parts.
