Is creek pronounced like “cruck” or like “crike”?

Oh wow I hadn’t even considered the people. Here they call themselves the Muscogee so I can’t be sure about the pronunciation but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t one of my joke ones and wouldn’t have made the joke with them in mind. Do you know if Creek is/was a name imposed upon them?
I was just being cheeky with my reply because it’s badposting, the English called them Creek the name Muscogee is theirs. Jokes aside I consider it to be important to remember the incorrect names because it’s the only way to keep the history straight. For example the modern spelling is Ojibwe but older documents called it Chippewa so you can’t read documents from 1900 expecting to find “Ojibwe” etc.
