ars technica has been on the way out for a while but this is just embarrassing.

I don’t have the link with me now, but the Author’s explanation and apology for how this happened is a worthwhile read. This seems to have been a straight up mistake.

Still ironic, but I really don’t get the impression that there’s anything hypocritical or malevolent going on here at all.
