US President Donald Trump has said he may impose trade tariffs on countries that do not support his plans to take over Greenland.

“I may put a tariff on countries if they don’t go along with Greenland, because we need Greenland for national security,” Mr Trump said at the White House.

Do it. Please, do it. Help the rest of the world - especially the idiots voting for the current politians in office - open their eyes to how well things can go when everything in handed to the “conservatives” and “traditionalists”.

Put the economy, the entire global system, on its knees.

And then wave with war and nuclear weapons.

Lets burn the system down and do it properly.

These guys are not even conservatives anymore. They are as radical (edit: and not the good kind) as anything I’ve seen in my lifetime.

The GOP and now MAGA left conservatism behind long ago. And it’s not like conservatism itself is bad when applied in places that need less change to work. One can even be liberal, radical, and conservative, just on different topics.

        This is a cult. Period.

That’s just everyone who has called themselves conservative in the political sense. In my country the “conservatives” have always wanted to destroy 100 year old institutions and “reintroduce” imagined traditions that never really existed (like traditional clothing that was only ever popular during a very limited time in some rural communities).

The deep entrenched ones are far over the hill but there is an entire group of people that vote either by jumping on the bandwagon or by fear amd those can be pulled back. Although I’d prefer seeing all those people being kicked back on the mouth.

This is probably just another Taco, Trump Always Chickens Out.
I kinda do want him to not chicken out though, because I’d love to see him crash and burn a bit.

The time when when you could trust the US to honour alliances and agreements is obviously over anyway. Better to find other trading partners!

It could be a good idea to expand your knowledge of history.

      Downvoters, do you need examples?

unilateral cancellation of the direct international convertibility of the United States dollar to gold,

Second Gulf War,[83][84] was a prolonged conflict in Iraq from 2003 to 2011. It began with the invasion by a United States–led coalition

He’s like one of those old toys you’d pull the string on to make them say something but the disk inside it got broken so it just says the same thing over and over every time you pull the string.
