It’s incredibly rare that a foreign enemy destroys a country. They usually just finish it after the fact.

I used to think if that’s the case Putin could find a much better candidate, someone loved by all and embraced openly so they could orchestrate the fall. Then I realized that America didn’t need to be deceived, we just needed to be pushed over the edge just a bit. We were primed for this and only needed a nudge to divide us once and for all. There is no coming back from this either, the hatred and division is far too deep now for anyone or anything to stop it. It physically hurts to just exist in this country right now and I’m ashamed of just being born here.
