For me the thought is
“…what is my cat getting into?”
My house was built for us, so there’s no chance of anyone having died here previously. The Native Americans avoided living around here due to the swampy, mosquito-ridden conditions, so no chance of ancient burial ground. Every noise means spending money.
Just dumped $6k to fix a slab and they did MORE damage. I’m going to cry.
Banging outside the window or banshee like screaming at 3am? Probably the neighbour’s car or foxes mating on the porch.
Evil stench wafting from the chimney after rains, or an occasional creak from the empty attic above? You bet your ass I’m calling the ghostbusters
