I watched Flow last night. I went in blind. Anyone seen it? I have thoughts.
A masterpiece. Must-watch if you have kids.
Would it work on my 3 year old? I know nothing about the movie
probably, yes
My 2 yo loves it
Is it worth a watch? I’ll add it to my list.
I really liked it. Fully animated in Blender with a definite cozy video game aesthetic.
A cat, a dog, a lemur, and a capybara go sailing after the apocalypse. No human dialog, just animal noises.
This movie is driving my animals wild haha
I’m in! I’ll come back here and let you know what I think if I remember!
Edit: movie was good, thanks for the rec!!
Ahhh Blender, that explains it. I really liked this movie but it reminded me of Hoodwinked, that movie where they accidentally deleted it half way through the final render and it ended looking really rough.
I really like the story and art direction but it felt like they needed to run it through a couple more steps in the render to smooth out the lighting and touch up the fur.
i also went in not knowing anything about the movie, and i loved it. it made me cry for the first time in like 8 months haha, highly recommend it.
i just watched it last night too! my friend opened HBO Max to watch south park, but this was on the front page and interested us. i really enjoyed it.
I kept wondering where all the humans went, especially the person that loved their cat so much that they carved a mountain. That thought mad me kind if sad. Then I thought that maybe this place was the other side of the rainbow bridge (animal heaven) and the birds refuel it regularly. That made me even sadder for the person who lost their cat.
Loved it.
Where do I find this?
HBO Max or the black seas, I guess, from googling “flow justwatch”
Not that I have a problem with sailing the seas, but this is an independent studio, support them if you can!
So the name of the movie is “flow”? Asking because the poster says something different.
Yes
I watched it about a month ago. I thought the story wasn’t anything super new, though having no dialogue made it a bit more interesting. The visuals were really good, and I liked the world-building. Without spoiling too much for other readers, the ending was a bit weird for me, and I’m not sure if there was really a message the creators were trying to tell in the last 10-ish minutes.
