That picture is from the 1964 DNC, less than a year after JFK’s assassination. It does not strike me as authoritarian or “regime-pilled”
to have large images of your candidate’s face at the DNC or RNC. It seems like basic stuff you would do if you were trying to win elections in a democracy.
