I considered posting this elsewhere, but only Canadians are really going to get why it’s funny. Regina being totally self aware about it’s (lack of) reputation made it for me.

When asked for comment on its lack of tourism resources, the City responded, “we made a tourism video in the 90s. I don’t understand what else you’re expecting.”

Growing up, I wasnt sure if Regina was where my auntie lived or what she had that I didn’t

I legitimately mixed up the two as well, as a kid.

This honestly warms my frozen Manitoban heart.

It would be great if we would all show a little more collective pride and promote the places we live as, you know, nice places to visit.

Every place in this country has something to offer.

Not a local, but as someone who joked “We could go to Regina! There’s…” and trailed off as I saw stuff on Google Maps, here’s some suggestions:
      -The Regina Floral Conservatory.
      -The Mackenzie Art Gallery
      -The RCMP Heritage Centre
      -Government House
      -Royal Saskatchewan Museum

There’s some other stuff too, particularly if you’re willing to drive out of town. Enough to make me go “Huh, that could be mildly fun/interesting”.

        Thanks, I’ll check those out.

I’m there for a work thing, so hopefully there’s stuff that’s walkable from the hotel downtown
