Previously there’s been a tendency to treat socioeconomic conditions as kind of a force of nature, but now we’re getting papers come out straight up stating shit like; “Systematic approaches to identifying, describing, and disrupting [corporate activity] are required to improve global health.”

You’re joking, but this is actually starting to come up in public health and adjacent fields.
