    Well, neoliberalism is working its wonders here, maybe more slowly than in the anglo sphere where it is full steam ahead. The tightening of security due to terrorism in the last years with more and more security laws (think PATRIOT act) being enacted, resulting in more police powers and impunity. French cops were never better than others, but today they are free wheeling like crazy with full support from the government and most of mass media

    Even labor unions which historically were a big power block in France are struggling, they are attacked in the media, by the cops on the street, by the legislative majority who have been passing neoliberal economic laws to reduce worker power since even before Macron, thanks François Hollande a “socialist” president

    So unless a dramatic change of course happens, we’ll another us style neolib hell in 10 years, maybe less

      still better than the rest of us lol
      here (england) our historically strong unions had their spines broken in the 80s by thatcher
      the yanks have it even worse

        We never got a Reagan/Thatcher here that’s true, even Macron who’s spiritually the same couldn’t go as far as they did
