    Lol “math addicts”.

My friend this is like a single multiplication problem once you have the stats.

I feel like there’s this bizarre learned helplessness when it comes to math. Like people convince themselves in middle school that “they just can’t do it” and then like never bother to try ever again.

(number of Republican voters) * $5,000

(Not that this is ever happening)

OP doesn’t care. They post every question that pops into their head even if it can be answered in less time than it takes them to write it

According to this, 77302580 people voting for the republican presidential candidate

It would cost 386.5 billion usd, or almost 1.5 trillion loaves of bread

I would believe Lucy holding the football long before Trump talking about giving anyone money.

How’d they propose to verify it anyway? Do you take a photo of your ballot and send it in - or is voting not anonymous in USA?!

I guess they could pay every resident of a county that ends up R or whatever.

Realistically I’d think all the Rs have to do is say they’re going to do it anyway - some dumbfucks may believe, vote and forget for next time that it was an empty promise. Seems like a decent strategy for them.

The current estimate is about 270+ million adults in the US. So 270 * 5 is 1350, so about 1.35 trillion.

Nobody is going to pay for it because it wasn’t congressionally approved. It was a false promise given by a turd that can’t follow through with it.

It’s basically the covid subsidies twice over… so, in theory it could be done… but realistically no it’s not going to happen, just like the tarrif refunds and the doge checks.

If it’s from the government, yes, there’s nobody but taxpayers paying it - either by the Treasury, borrowing with interest or money printing that devalues everyone’s money.

Money comes from somewhere and the government is in effect a financial proxy for the public. He’s offering us our own money.

If only ⅓ actually vote, that’s around 110m people (assuming all are adults of legal voting age). If about ⅓ actually identify as a Republican, that’s about 35k people. 35m x $5,000 = $175b. (Edited)

Considering Trump’s doubled his worth to over $11b (illegally) he could theoretically pay for it. Not that he will lol. But he made more than that on his crypto rug pull scheme, so… There’s that.

Edit: there’s something like 340m people in the US, but obviously not all are over 18. I think I read a while back roughly a third of the country consider themselves more of an independent. That’s where I’m getting figures from.
