I have recieved some good news for once - RACV were apparently overcharging me for an insurance policy and will be refunding me nearly $100.
My hours are funny this week. 8.30-2pm yesterday, 12-4 today, 8.30-12 tomorrow, and 10-2.30 Thursday.
Feels weird to not already be working at this hour, idk what to do with myself.
I also saw on the roster that I’ve been moved from “trainee” to “packing”! Eeeee!

Global leadership team are going to be in the office tomorrow. I’d rather work from home and just not be there but my Coffee Work meetings have been moved to Thursday. I’d rather do those days from home so there are fewer chances for questions there

Meant to be some big changes at work that were meant to be announced last week, got pushed to Mon - Tues… still nothing. The changes won’t affect me, but I feel for the staff who are climbing the walls wondering about their future.

I know that the MD isn’t stretching it out to be malicious - he wears these types of decisions so hard and I think he’s trying to come up with the best solution for his staff. The HR woman though…
I don’t know if it’s incompetence or some trick HR people have learned. When an old job of mine was facing redundancies they’d wait until 5pm to send an invite for 9am the next day with just a title like “Discussion Meeting”. Did they learn how to be this stressful from somewhere?
I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised if this HR spent her free time dreaming up ways to make people feel beneath her and uncomfortable.

Saw a Steam Machine IRL at our local CEX if you have one nearby. They buy secondhand games and hardware to onsell.
They had two 512GB units for the price of a brand new 2TB Steam Machine. The only benefit is you don’t need to join the waitlist. At those prices it makes me wonder who is selling to CEX and shocks buying from them.
