It depends how far each side is willing to go, the government can send in the military or just give into almost all demands and then let a capital strike blow up the French economy while blaming the reforms until there’s sufficient support to roll back all reforms.
I know France has nukes. How powerful is their military?
Its one of the biggest in the world and uses it to directly administrate colonies, in addition to supporting neocolonies.
Their foreign legion isn’t allowed in France due to an incident where they attempted to do a coup when De Gaulle was negotiating granting Algeria nominal independence.
