Actually I think this is a Cur. They often have light brown fur with a blackish nose and short floppy ears.

Mut. Dog breeds are a recent (last few 1000 years) invention of humans. When dogs intermingle without intervention they all end up looking like dingos basically.

More like the past few centuries. You’ll notice that, if you read the Odyssey, Argos was just a fucking dog, and in pictures from Victorian dog shows the now weird-looking breeds still look normal.

In Mexico, all the dogs looked the same, kind of like this as I recall.

This does also look like a red bone coonhound in part to me though but not sure.

The default street dog which I happened to just learn last week is called a Pariah dog.

It’s probably not a breed. Breeds are something people, in certain countries, have artificially made and enforced in recent history. Otherwise, dogs are just dogs.

I’m also hasitent to call it breed but I don’t know the right word to put on the title since English is not my native language, what type of dog maybe?

You’re using the right word, the above comment is referencing the idea that “breeds” aren’t natural. It’s something humans made up because they keep inbreeding dogs to get particular looks.

    Bitsa.

Bits of this, bits of that. Some call them Indian Pariah dogs but just free-roaming dog or street dog also works - they’re not confined to a breed

But in EU and US, you don’t really get free-roaming dogs.

here in argentina we call them galgos, i think galgos are an actual breed but we use it to mean those kinda skinny street dogs. we also say they are “marca perro” this means their “brand” is “dog”, brand is like a wordplay on the race in this case. so it would mean their race is dog, lol.

Many areas have what they call village dogs, they have a similar look for that area, but much different than a village dog in another country.

They usually have very little in the way of Standard Breed dogs DNA and are distinguishes separately from a mixed standard breed.

But because there is no breeder controlling traits they can vary a lot in appearance.
