Unpopular opinion, but this is right and good.
I do think we should be using the metric system, but I think three stacked footballs, or whatever the fuck makes it easier for people to visualize it, is a good thing. Some of us just don’t have brains geared toward hearing an arbitrary number and visualizing that size in real terms.
So, yeah, right 30cm, and show me a damn football, or two dollar bills, or a cake pan, or whatever i may have that can help me actually visualize the size.
My main qualm is that they just added them with GIMP or such. You can’t really use it for estimating the height, because they also just ballparked the perspective.
Alright, but at the same time balancing three footballs in a little tower like that would be really hard to do.

I was going to say, even not being into sports I still understand quite well how tall that stand is.
On the other hand, TIL that these footballs are longer than the diameter of actual footballs the rest of the known world uses- and I’m still unsure if this item’s height. 🤷🏼♂️

Agreed, I’d guessed the same, but I did interact with both just yesterday… when a few geniuses thought it clever to play with them inside the fenced dog park, and then were somehow surprised the dozen+ dogs assumed they were invited. 🙆🏼♂️
That aside, the diagram does nothing for me beyond reminding me how stupid they think we are— and they’re nearly half right. 😶

I mean, yeah… after generations of gov’t-fucked “education” (in this country), this is the median parsable method of conveying scale. 🤢🤕
They should do the height in feet and the width in inches for the full imperial experience.
