When I asked for Rocky Road, this isn’t what I meant
They kept on with picking photos of the shitbag looking like the biohazard of the week
Good photos of him don’t exist
But surely there must be SOME food that doesn’t have a corresponding photo of him, right?
Not in my America
He looks and sounds absolutely grotesque
Hard to tell which is the salted caramel ice cream
Hard candy

A natural conclusion of capitalist rule being work quality and equipment maintenance basically falls off a cliff and now everything we eat gets a chance to be contaminated with manufacturing detritus.
What’s blows me away is regulations disappear and they immediately change the way they’re making ice cream? Unless it’s supply chain differences, I’m kind of impressed how quickly they can rework production enough to end up with rocks in there. Maybe I’m just overestimating the state of mass production facilities.
If they remove the safeties and run the line way faster than it was designed to, they can make so much more product.
I’m just curious which safety was catching all the rocks before!
Bugs in candy bars, sure, but rocks in ice cream?? Went from stacking pallets to throwing it all on the ground maybe? But surely that’s less efficient lol
salt mining I assume
Isn’t all the cheap rock salt dissolved and recrystallized?
They just added rock salt to the mix. Normal stuff.
Meh it’s more likely just this same news happening decades prior but not making news, versus now everyone putting shit in the food so food news are trendy
Is this another case of “this happens all the time but now that there’s attention on it the news cycle highlights it more” like with the train crashes last year? Or are there really a lot more product recalls for food than normal?
according to the google ai summary:
USDA Recalls: U.S. Department of Agriculture food recall events fell by 62.5% in the first half of 2026 (9 events down from 24 in H1 2025). However, the total volume of meat and poultry affected skyrocketed by over 2,400% to 37.18 million pounds, driven primarily by a single massive chicken fried rice foreign-material recall.
Now the bigger question is, is this due to gutting the FDA or actual improvement? Who knows if there isn’t a bunch of shit that should have been recalled but wasn’t.
My favourite subplot of 2026: America’s food supply turning into a biological weapon
what is salt but very small grains of stone? what will they do next, recall chicken wings for having bones in them?
“Eyy! Whatsamatta Mr. Softy? Ya can’t handle ice cream with some stones on it?”Stones? How? Where they using the same transport containers for gravel without washing them in between.
Conservatives hate food regulations. So, they got rid of them. Be sure to remember this if you work in food service and a conservative cockroach comes in to feed.
