    Jokes aside, that job sounds miserable. I don’t want a bad day at work to result in planes colliding. Even though I am a god gamer (please clap), there’s no way I could do that work.

      They made a whole movie about how much it sucks working in ATC. It’s called Pushing Tin.

    one of the paths into ATC work for a while has been to be a flightsim larper.

    some versions of MS flight sim aren’t even games because they don’t have a rules-based win/lose condition.

        if something doesn’t have a goal and system to define meeting that goal it isn’t a game, it’s a toy or an activity. this isn’t derogatory, some toys are a lot of fun, but a soccer ball laying on pitch or chess pieces tipped on a board aren’t games, the game is in the rules and systems. you can even have a game that nobody actually plays, like CNA.
